<I>"Oxios Hibernate attempts to release as much memory as possible without damaging the internal state of the Windows Mobile device (Pocket PC or Smartphone). Oxios CloseApps closes down other applications by sending "Close" messages."</I>

These guys are always sneaking out releases and then just wait for me to find them. I have been hoping this free utility would come out for WM5 and it finally has. Having used it on my WM2003 devices I really missed it. It's actually two utilities for freeing up memory. Give it a try.

Do you really find this useful on WinMo5? I find it handles and releases memory much better than before.

Good point, but after I run these a lot of memory is freed up.

I understand CloseApps but When do you run hibernate? What exactly does it do or do differntly than Close Apps? Why is it called Hibernate?

I run closeapps, then I run hibernate. Hibernate always frees up another .5 k or so.
