Phone crashed while upgrading from 2002 to 2003

Hi

I was following the instructions as mentioned in everlink ftp to upgrade my smartphone (dev. kit) to 2003.

Bootloader was successfully loaded from SD card. When i was upgrading other files, the progress bar stopped moving (GSM1900.bin)

I checked my red USB cable is plugged while upgrading.

Now the phone is neither allowing me to upgrade agian or booting. there is no message coming up when external power plugin, ony red -e logo appears.

Please help!!

I have read about this issue a couple of times in the forums. And I am afraid there is no clear solution. The best bet would be to contact Everlink and see if they can upgrade the phone.

They have a link for the upgrade. And I also hope they are still doing it I must warn you that they dont have the best support.

And have you tried Hard Reset?

- Take Battery out.
- Put it back
- Plug the power cord to the phone
- Hold down * and 3 keys simultaneously
- While doing that Press Down on the Power Button
- That will bring up the erasing IPSM screen
- Wait for it to complete

I tried to Hard reset as per your instructions, but Nothing happens other than the logo appears on the screen. No IPSM screen appears.

Anyway thanks for your sugeestions. I will try to contact everlink support.
