I must have the A2DP profile.
I'd like to know if anyone has any inside info on whether or not
HTC will realease an update for 2125.

Or are they waiting to just do it on the 8125?

Well, it's an interesting situation. I would expect your carrier to be the one releasing this update. Or in the case of i-mate, the phones vendor. HTC really doesn't deal with the consumer, so I don't really expect them to release the update for consumers.

To answer your question, i hope we see it. However, I'm not holding my breath. Sad

"First half of 2006" - that's a pretty big window, I mean, it could end being a pretty big wait. Sad Evil or Very Mad The good news is that Cingular will be providing the update. Smile

Well as long as we get it...and it has the A2DP profile I am fine. I have a feeling we'll get the update but not the A2DP.

Since Cingular is relasing it I'm very worried.

Did HTC remove the capability to download the rom and ClearVue from their site?

As of today, you can download ClearVue Software version 2.41 and Cingular 2125 Software version 1.8.42.14 at http://www.htcamerica.net/support/s...are_updates.htm .

The description doesn't say anything about A2DP (and I don't know what that is).

That's what I'm talkin' bout Willis!

YES. I have a set. Cingular would be IGNORANT not to release a rom with all that HBO stuff they have coming out.

But I doubt they will release a rom. Why because they are Cingular.

If they don't have any other WM 2k5 smartphones...coming out this year they should get their crapola together and release it.

Maybe they will release the rom update with the 8125 and then drive it out to the 2125. That would make sense.

But again I doubt they will do that.
