http://today.reuters.com/news/artic...OROLA-EARNS.xml

"Motorola Inc. the world's second-biggest cellphone maker, on Tuesday said its first-quarter profit fell slightly due to stock options expenses and weakness in its network equipment business in Asia, pushing its shares down 5 percent. Cellular phone sales rose 61 percent from a year earlier to 46.1 million, and Motorola said it gained market share."

A 61% rise in mobile phone sales! That's a pretty huge increase. Motorola also noted that they sold 18 million RAZR's and they expect to ship the 50th million RAZR in the second quarter. Those are some pretty impressive numbers. It will be interesting to see how much longer the RAZR can continue this trend, and if Motorola can match the success of the RAZR before it's too late.

I bet by now the RAZR only costs them a nickel apiece (which is all it's worth anyway) to make. Pure profit at this point.
