FCC Approves Motorola Q Smartphone

"The FCC today approved the Motorola Q, though no new information was revealed in the filing. The documents confirm all the facts previously revealed about the Q. It will be a CDMA EV-DO handset running Windows Mobile 5 for Smartphone. The Q features a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, a 1.3 Megapixel camera and Mini SD slot. All documents in the filing continue to carefully avoid mentioning a carrier for the device, but it is known to be coming to Verizon."

If you're interested, you can view the FCC documents here. Otherwise, there is little new information here, except that the Q is finally getting close to shipping. FCC Approval typically means about 2 months before the phone hits the streets or less. Smile

Where once my reaction to this news would be pleasure, now I cant help but just YAWN.

I stopped by my local Verizon store and talked with a salesperson and they said that they are getting the Motorola Q and they are expecting it to come out in about a month or so. He mentioned that it has come up in some of their meetings and that he didn't hear of a date of release but they know it's coming soon.
