Do you have too many gadgets? Are they cluttering up the valuable desk space? Or do you, like me, charge your mobile devices on the kitchen counter? Reclaim the valuable space and get organized, by getting eNook.
Recently while watching the I want that! show on HGTV, I came across this functional and well designed gadget cabinet. It saves space, looks great, charges the gadgets and the only thing missing is an affordable price-tag.  Actually there is one more thing that is missing, a USB hub. I think eNook is a great way to stow away all your gadgets in style, in your family room or kitchen. What are your thoughts?

It does seem pretty cool, though I wonder if you can get a cheaper alternative from Ikea, and perhaps customise it to your liking?

That is pretty sweeet. The only thing I don't care for is that power cord hanging out the bottom. They really should have hidden that. I know I would.
I agree with the Ikea comment. I would buy 2 of these in a minute if Ikea had them. I'm sure it would be a much more reasonable price.

These were on display at MacWorld. It is a pretty sweet idea who's time has come, IMO.
I do think it is over priced. All it is is a shelving system with a power strip. One could easily find a suitable cabinet or shelf and stick their own power strip in there and have the same thing.

The one issue, besides price, with this item is the fact that the depth of the unit makes it not particularly wall wart-friendly. They can only really fit in there one way, and it's likely that my preferred surge protectors won't fit in it, period.

I was also wondering about that. I was hoping that if the unit is mounted over an outlet, then the cord will be concealed.

The cool thing that it offers is a sturdy work table, when the door is opened. I am sure all of this can be designed for half the price hopefully. And it still will be sturdy.

That'd be a seriously high up power outlet.. but if you've got one, then I imagine you could hide the cord behind it somehow?
It's a neat idea, but I don't think I'd use it just because I don't use a laptop these days. Working from a desktop PC, all my gadgets have nice little chargeable home bases on my desk. I also can't help but notice that you'd have to be a fan of the touchpad on your laptop -- as there's not really room for a right handed mouse on that little counter.
