Thanks Xultar! That helped me get farther. It seems to have worked in some respects... when I connect my Motorola HT820 stereo BT headset I get to click the Stereo Wireless profile. But when I play sounds they come out of the handset and not the headset! This occurs whether I also have the handsfree profile clicked or not. Any suggestions?

Hello.
Using i-mate SP5M with new ROM update.
I'm copying the .cab file to my mobile device, but on installation, get the note "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient permissions."
Help? Embarassed
Do I need to install, seperately, AVRCP.MPplugin.dll, bta2dp.dll, and sbc.dll seperately?
Where can those files be found?
Thanks,
Peter

a2dp is absolutely worth it.

i didn't need to necessarily 'hack' my xda exec, i just upgraded it qtek's latest universal update and voila, push e-mail + a2dp.

i use the motorola ht820 stereo headset and it works just fine. there are no major problems and with the update i actually have more free space than i previously had. it also runs close to 80% faster (the way a 520MHz processor should!).

don't know how i survived before without these enhancements.

If I don't have a stereo bluetooth headset, is there a way I can check to see if my AKU2 device has the A2DP profile?

Not sure. But if you don't have a Bluetooth stereo headset, does it really matter? Wink I don't have one so this feature doesn't really mean much to me right now. Very Happy

You need to app unlock and then CID unlock your device. There are places you can go to get the unlock tools. I used the HTCUnlock and another I can't quite remeber off hand.

SO TRUE. I have WAY more space on my device and the Cingular rom had the the minimum MMS memory locked down to a minimum 4mb.

I bought my HT820 specifically to use with the Cingular 2125...Wasn't I surprised that it didn't have A2DP and the rom update wouldn't come out soon.

Things are working great!

Hi new poster long time reader. xultar, do you know where I can get detailed step by step instructions and firmware needed to upgrade my 2125 for this feature?? How and where do I get the SP5M firmware and how do I upgrade my 2125? I am desperately looking to add this to my phone as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, we don't allow linking to or sharing of illegal material. The ROM is copywrite i-mate and thus it isn't meant for the 2125. I'm sure if you google around you'll find the info you need. But we don't allow posting of that here. Thanks. Wink

VoIP and A2DP are two things that I am not willing to try on my 2125 or similar.
