"The Proporta i-mate Smartflip Series Alu-Leather Case is beautifully hand crafted to meet the exact specifications of your i-mate Smartflip handheld. It features our trademark ‘Screen Saver System’ which uses a sheet of rigid, lightweight aircraft grade aluminium to line the case, protecting your delicate device screen from crushing and impact shocks."

I couldn't see any other pictures of this case but it looks pretty decent from this angle. I'm not very big on cases myself, especially on a flip phone.

That's an interesting look. I'm not sure I care for the fact that the top doesn't actually connect to the top of the device. Confused

It looks like it almost doubles the thickness!! So much for a slim phone...

Pushing that snap down could cause some more cracked screens. Shocked

Not so much the interior screen but possibly the exterior one.

My experience with Proporta is that the cases themselves are made of top-flight materials and assembled beautifully. Unfortunately, the case designs themselves are not the most practical.

I had a Proporta Alu-leather case for my old iPAQ 4355. I bought it for the added protection of the aluminum-lined front flap. One night I was holding my oldest son in a parking lot and his leg popped the case out of its quick-release snap. The iPAQ was badly scratched and the plastic housing around the QWERTY keyboard snapped off the device because the sides were completely unprotected. So the aluminum cover was only usefuly in the extremely unlikely event that the device fall perfectly flat onto its front face (of course it was also well protected against a .22 caliber round fired directly at the front cover, which is also highly useful.) Great. I'd want to hide that ugly phone to Wink

I completely agree. Actually I've been running with a nake 3125 and HTC TyTN.

They're both just the right size already. Plus the 3125 is a flip phone. The screen is already protected. The inside one anyway. Maybe if someone comes out with a thinner one.
