Arne Hess from the::unwired has managed to get some hands on time with a couple of the cooler devices announced earlier this week at 3GSM - the Moto Q q9, and the Orange SPV E650 (Better known as the HTC Vox). He's posted some pictures and some thoughts on the two devices. Head on over and take a look and let us know which one you prefer. If I had to pick, I think it would be the Moto Q q9.

I like the q9 styling but why do manufacturers put so much empty space around the screen. Confused Why can't the screen run from edge to edge, like <cough> the iPhone.

I love the Vox. It makes great use of the real estate. The screen is as big as that on my Dash. And keyboard will be even more comfortable than the one on my Dash.

The MOTO Q q9 is a great looking device, but i agree with Kris that they should use more of the real estate and expand the screen size. Hopefully they will ship close to their expected date of late Q1 2007...then i just have to find one and ship it to Australia... Very Happy
