 |
|
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/...-htc-on-june-5/
"HTC is apparently poised to shock and awe (or attempt to, at least) invited guests on June 5 -- less than two weeks away -- with a "major announcement" of some sort. Very little is known at this point what the company plans on unveiling here, but this is the most glitz and mystique we can recall leading up to an HTC press event, so we guess it's gotta be good. The invitation (pictured) apparently says that the event will usher in "a new mobile experience that will change the way we use and control our phones."
So I wonder what this is all about? Something that will rival the iPhone perhaps? We had to figure that companies aren't just going to stand by and let Apple have such a big piece of the pie. What do you think? A clone or something all together different? I hope it's something really cool. HTC is no slouch so whatever it is, I'll bet I'll want one. You can read even more about the mystery announcement here . OK let's hear from you - let the guessing officially begin.

I hope they announce that the upcoming HTC Kaiser will have a VGA screen. Just joking though if the put a VGA in there the Kaiser will be a perfect device.

I agree with srmz. Maybe I've been spoiled with my x51v, but to move back to a non-VGA device seems so archaic.
I'll continue to hold out until I can get a device that combines the best features of my 8310 and x51v into one device.

They're probably going to announce another device w/ a bad screen and an OMAP 200 mhz chip, and 64 RAM. By the time they actual put 256 RAM, all the other devices will have 512-1 GB. Awful company.

I knew there was some reason I was hanging on to that first born son
Any of you actually tried one of the laser keyboards? I have one, novel item, but not particularly ready for prime time. I have a decent time with it, but I hunt and peck. Everyone I know that touch types, that I have let play with it, hates it.
The projector would be cool.
Take a look at the P-Ism at http://www.nec-design.co.jp/showcase/

i hope it uses the Windows Mobile OS whatever it is.
something like the iPhone or Prada would be nice, but I don't think I'd get one unless it had a dedicated QWERTY keyboad - with actual vs. virtual keys.

I'm with you there on the actual keyboard. ... except for the fact that I cannot see it being possible to use the keyboard and the projector at the same time without a lot of jiggling.

Hasn't Microsoft stated in the past that while it has no intentions of creating a Zune OS phone, they were looking into ways of integrating the Zune software into the Windows Mobile platform?
Though, for all we know, it could just has something to do with the new HTC Shift that has received so much press lately. That is one sweet device, plus it comes equipped quadband GSM/GRPS/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA access.
