After I switched from T-Mobile to Cingular, one of the most annoying things was the Cingular Voicemail, it would not let me delete the voice message while listening to it; I had to wait for the currently playing message to end, before I could delete it. Evil or Very Mad

The solution - rapid prompts, check it out over here.

Cool!!
Now is there anyway to go directly to a Cingular customer's mailbox to leave a voice mail when they don't answer? When I call my wife (both of us are on Cingular phones with a shared plan) and she doesn't answer, I have to listen to the recording tell me if I want to page this person do this blah blah blah, if I want to leave a message wait or press a button blah blah blah.
I just want to leave a voice mail without having to wait for the recording. Is there a way to skip past all that?

Try this for cut-thru paging options.

well I have always ignored prompting and just done this:

11 - first new message when at menu - when in message return to start of message
1 - while in message backs up 5-10 seconds
3 - while in message forward 5-10 seconds
33 - jump to end of message
337 - jump to end and delete
339 - jump to end and move to saved folder (I think Cingular holds for 21 days)
# - skip to next message (does not delete or save - just places it in skipped folder

The problem I am facing is that, I can no longer use rapid prompts. I have to wait for the message to complete, only then can I delete it. Sad Evil or Very Mad

Kris

hit "33" while in the message to get to the end

My clues are mostly while in the message not in the menus
