Cingular is having a sale on their Smartphones. You can pick up a new Audiovox 5600 Windows Mobile 2003SE Smartphone for just $49.99 or a refurbished MPx220 for $149.99. If you have been holding off on getting a Smartphone because of the price, this is the sale for you. The 5600 is a solid device and it's worth a lot more than $50 if you ask me.

Both units are refurbed, the Audivox is not a "new" device.

The 5600 refurb is better than a brand new Mpx220 frankly.

The 5600!?!
That humpless wonder. Bah!
And it has that funky rocker switch.
And WM 2003.
But if you have an extra $50.....go for it.
Or send the $50 to the Smartphone Thoughts Party Fund instead.

And buy the NEC N500 with 3 year old technology! Low res camera, dual band, not QVGA, small screen, and no keypad, I'm not impressed and all for less than $500! Give me a break. Do you work for NEC? Who would pay that kind of money for that kind of technology? The 5600 is far superior and the newer models from HTC are even better.

Good grief no!
I am unabashed fan of the humpfull 2125, hence my disdain for the humpless 5600.

Why do I get the feeling that our readers are forming some kind of a hump-cult....Jerry, where are you? I hope you are not involved.

I don't know any of these people!

That's actually $50 with a 2 year contract. You can pick up a new SDA from Amazon for $50 with a 1 year contract. Minutes and data will probably be cheaper too.
