 |
|
Gmail will not work with my Cingular 2125.
I have POP access enabled up on the account and followed the instructions here:
http://www.everythingq.com/kb/how-t...n-a-motorola-q/
and it never retrieves any mail. It alwas says "Unable to connect to the incoming mail server. Verify that the server name is correct and try again."
I entered the mail server as listed on that web page.
Is there an error on the web page or does Gmail just not work via this mail client on a 2125?
It also doesn't retrieve any settings when I attempt to use the Automatic Setup option.

Gmail works flawlessly with my SP5m, so it should in theory work with your 2125. Can you access other POP accounts?

Yeah, you might want to make sure that data is setup correctly on your device. Can you browse the web?

The data plan is fine because I use it to browse the web daily. I even had gmail working with Xpressmail, but that was too difficult to use, and Xpressmail would not let me get to the new mail without downloading hundreds of old messages first, so I gave up on it and wanted to switch to the pocket Outlook.
So no one has gmail working with a 2125?

What settings need to be set on the phone to have data set-up properly on the phone to allow access to the internet?
