I haven't tried this yet but I'm not very impressed with Vito. Their support is lousy as well. |
I use X-Bar for this function (cut-paste-copy) as well as the ability to task switch on the fly, close running applications, and clear memory all in one small-memory footprint, easy to access package.
If you don't have this, really, really, you should get it. This is my only absolutely essential tool on my Smartphone that I've used since the beginning of 'smartphone time.' I tried the free version of Vito to compare but was not impressed. You get what you pay for.
Alright, enough of an advertisement...Here is the link to the developer's site:

I liked X-bar too but it has had memory leak problems. Both my 2125 and Q would lock up after about a day when it was installed. It's a shame too.

Were you using v3.1? I had major problems with the previous version 2.x but no problems on my SDA flashed with the SP5m ROM.

Yes 3.1 in both cases. It was like clockwork, after 24 hours it would happen unless I had reset the phones myself for some other reason, like a backup.

Curious exactly which ROM are you using, and how do you like it.

Do you know of any software that'll "auto reboot" your phone once per day? Perhaps 3AM-ish?
Thanks...

Yeah, Alerts!, but I hardly think that's the solution to poor programming. You shouldn't have to reboot your phone on a regular basis.

AutoFlight software can do "auto reboot" at predefined time every day. The download site is http://inputshow.googlepages.com/ . There is also a software named NineWayKeypad which can do paste/copy.

Damn. I couldn't get this to work either (on my TMo Dash).
Is this the only option for cut-and-paste?

Are you talking about XBar 3?
I also have a Dash. Couldn't get the Vito product to work. Would like to try XBar3, but since there's no trial version, want to see if anyone is running it on a Dash (or other landscape-screen smartphone like the Q) before purchasing it. Really want the Cut-and-Paste functionality.

I don't think it's being supported. I checked the web site not long ago and it looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. I had xBar 3.2 on my SDA and I believe I was seeing memory leak problems as well. Ick. Bad purchase IMO. Especially with such a sketchy developer web site.
