BTW, the Dash comes with a pretty full-featured task manager that shows actual percentage of battery left.

I haven't used any HTC branded devices before, so I don't have anything to compare, but it's version 1.22 (Build 24648).

That's just how the device reports it. It's a limitation of the device most likely. Any other program that shows anything different than that is just extrapolating a number based on your average drain rate.

I just ordered a Dash and we'll be making our apps for the Dash/Excalibur soon.
