Has anyone seen this error before?

"Can't load resource ID !!!"

What does it mean and what can i do about it.
It seems to pop up intermittently and the only way to get back to the other functions of the phone is to hit the HOME key.

I'm stumped

thanks

I have never seen that one before. Had you recently uninstalled something? Which Smartphone do you have?

I have a cingular 3125 smartphone

I've been checking out new homescreens and downloading xml files.
it seems to happen more frequently with certain homescreens, but i haven't been able to see a pattern.

thanks

Do any of those home screens use plugins? If so make sure you install them in Main Memory, not on a storage card.

I think you're on the right track.
they do have plugins.
I believe i've installed them all in the right place.
i only put music and photos on the storage card.
i'll look into it some more. that would explain why some homescreens give me more of a problem than others.

thanks

Out of curiosity, how may plugins do you have? Might be too many and they aren't loading in the right order. Just guessing here.

i've downloaded a bunch onto the phone.

how can i tell which ones are there?
is there a list anywhere on the phone?
are they stored in a directory?

i might have overdone it with the downloads, but that's part of the fun
how might i remove the ones i don't need?

thanks

Depending on who wrote the plugin, they should be in "Remove Programs". It might be tough otherwise. If they aren't there you'd need to know the names of the files installed.

One can never over do this! Laughing
