Verizon, Vodafone Bring Transatlantic SMS

Verizon Wireless is working to allow their US-based subscribers to exchange text messages with subscribers on Vodafone's European network. According to Phone Scoop, the service, "is available immediately for the UK, and will be expanded in early 2004 to include Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden."
