New Phone Time But What To Buy?

Posted by Mike Temporale in "Smartphone Talk" @ 11:30 AM

As many of you know, I have been using the HTC Vox smartphone for a number of weeks now - but no longer. I just can't take it anymore. Why? well there's a number of reasons - I find the keyboard hard to read in the dark and don't get me started about the layout and feel of the keyboard. Then there's the delay when you open the device. If you start typing too soon, you'll find the characters you press just don't appear. I haven't even talked about the thickness of the device yet, or the lack of 3G. :-(

So, I'm back onto the Dash full time now (it was my weekend phone for a while). But I have no plans to stay on the Dash, I just can't stand that JOGGR. I need to decide what phone I'm going to use going forward. I'm thinking it should be a BlackJack II or a Moto Q9h. I really like the Samsung i640 and I'm interested in trying the Treo 500v, but both of those phones are only Tri-band. That's European Tri-band too, so it's not very functional for me here in North America. I'm curious what everyone here is picking as their next device? I'm leaning toward the BlackJack II, but at the same time, I'm thinking I should give Moto a run and see how far they've come along. Decisions, decisions.
