Windows Phone Designer Themes: Free to Download on October 6

"Fashion Week is in full swing in New York City this week, and today, we're excited to announce five designer themes created just for Windows phones. The themes, which include custom palettes and wallpapers, were designed by some of today's hottest designers: Diane von Furstenberg, Vera Wang, Isaac Mizrahi, Rock & Republic and Ron Arad."

There's no denying that Microsoft does a great job at connecting with big names to produce exclusive content for its products. Just take a look at the Xbox and Zune. Come October 6, Windows Mobile will get in on the action with some exclusive themes from a handful of top designers. And best of all, they'll be free to download from the Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

Homescreen Designer Updated to Support Windows Mobile 5 Smartphones

It's been a long time coming, but Ruttensoft has finally released the upgrade to Homescreen Designer. Version 2 adds support for higher resolution and landscape devices. It also adds a new interface that looks a lot easier to use. Homescreen designer is a most have tool if you want to create or modify your homescreens but you don't want to learn XML.

If you already own a copy of Homescreen Designer version 1, you can upgrade to version 2 for only $5 - check the details at Ruttensoft's web site. The full version sells for $14.99, and it's a great deal in my opinion. Check out the Flash animation over here for a good look at what version 2 offers. I'll be installing this a little later today and I'll post a screen shot or two when I do. :mrgreen:

Ruttensoft has recently released an upgrade to Homescreen Designer. They have added support for 2002 based Smartphones, more plugins are now supported including Fizz Traveller / Oxios / Slideshow, Volume / Question box / Information box screens are now supported. You can find a full list of new features and bug fixes here. With over 13,000 downloads on Smartphone.net alone, I'm sure that most of you already have a copy. Ruttensoft, the company behind this great product, has just released an upgrade that fixes a couple bugs, and adds a wealth of new features. Version 1.1.4 supports more plugin, multiple lines for calendar, ability to move the icon bar, alter prefix label for carrier and email, and lots more. It appears that my post earlier this week was a little pre-mature. I had stumbled across a work in progress. Ruttensoft has finished up the application and it's now ready for everyone to enjoy.
