Samsung Blackjack Card Wheel Homescreen

Posted by Rocco Augusto in "Smartphone Talk" @ 07:00 PM

So the other day I had the urge to change my homescreen and add something fresh and new into the mix. Searching around the Interweb, I ran across this Samsung Blackjack carousel inspired homescreen created by stellsit dubbed "Card Wheel Vista". While the homescreen contains none of the flashy animated goodness that the European Samsung Blackjack owners were blessed with, it is still pretty cool none-the-less. If you were looking for a new fun homescreen, I suggest giving this one a download! I should warn you ahead of time, the designers site is in Korean. For those that do not know Korean, I have created a a download link below!

Cool New Fish iPhone Theme for the Smartphone

Posted by Mike Temporale in "CONTENT" @ 02:00 PM

So you like the new iPhone but you don't want to wait until June? No problem - Check out the nice home screen work by Juni. Yes, I know it's not the same as the new Apple iPhone, but it's as close as you're going to get to one until later this year. The iPhone Fish theme has a couple different versions included in the Zip file. The first one uses Facade and FizzWeather, and the other uses free plugins.

To get a copy of this head on over to Juni's Skin site, click on Smartphone and then on iPhone V2. If you don't have any of the plug-ins and you want to pick up a copy, you can do that over at our affiliate store. And remember, each purchase you make this month enters you into our draw and a chance to win. More detail on that can be found here. 8)

Theme Changer Version 4 Released

Posted by Mike Temporale in "SOFTWARE" @ 08:00 AM

"After far to much time Riki has released Theme Changer Version 4. Theme Changer allows you to change home screen themes, system screens, and windows media skins at the touch of a button. New in version 4 is sound support; it supports changing system event sounds (eg startup), loading them off a storage card, sound themes, and includes a sound script editor. As well as the usual bug fixes and tweeks. Also released was a Home screen pack and a sound theme pack."

Riki's Theme Changer is a great tool, that fills the void left by Microsoft. There is no reason that it should be so complicated to customize your phone. Thanks to Riki's efforts, it's something that everyone can do. I'm downloading the new version right now. :D

Free Theme Changing Software

Posted by Mike Temporale in "SOFTWARE" @ 10:00 AM

Theme Changer was written to change .CAB themes with system screens and can show a summary of the theme. The new version adds the ability to browse for backgrounds, schedule to automatically change the background image, and theme packs. This is a unsigned application, and there is no mention of which operating system it supports. However my guess would be both 2002 and 2003.

Free Theme Changer Software

Posted by Mike Temporale in "SOFTWARE" @ 10:00 AM

When I first started playing with themes on my Smartphone I was a little surprised that there was no easy way to pick an installed theme. I had downloaded and installed a huge whack of themes from Smartphone Themes and I was shocked that I could not select them after they had been installed. In my opinion, this is a function that must be included on every phone. If I can install a theme, I need to be able to pick a theme from the installed themes. It's a simple concept. Imagine installing a theme on Windows XP, but not being able to select between installed themes!?! Crazy.

Thankfully there are people like Riki that step up and fill these voids left by Microsoft. Riki built an application that allows you to switch between .CAB Themes on the fly, without reinstalling them. Thanks Riki! :werenotworthy:
