I have been with Orange for many years and coverage (UK) is excellent. I presently use the SPV C550 and recommend it.

No you can't. Not unless you can talk Orange into giving you a copy.

Because Microsoft doesn't sell you the operating system. They sell it to HTC or Orange. Who in turn sell you a device with Windows MObile on it. There's no way to purchase Windows Mobile 5. If you're carrier doesn't want to release an upgrade, then your out of luck.
