I'm surprised there is a limit, I doubt there's a technical limit, it's just something put in place by Microsoft, but why? Same thing with not being able to create Word/Excel docs and sync files. It doesn't make sense.
Here's the deal - it can handle 8 accounts total. I don't know how or if this is different than previous versions. The accounts break down like this:
1 - Text Message
5 - POP/IMAP
1 - Windows Live
1 - Exchange
I'm not sure where or how basic Outlook sync email would fit in. After 5 POP/IMAP accounts, the new account wizard only lets you pick Exchange.
